Bowles Farm and Fun for All

We were very disappointed that the Calvert Maritime Museum was closed on Saturday, but we found an even better event: the Bowles Farm Corn Maize and Pumpkin Patch, complete with a petting zoo, corn box (like a sand box, but with corn), a tractor pull (yihah), and a wonderful barrel-train ride.

Every year the farm changes the maize design, this year it was fashioned after a local lighthouse, complete with sailboat. We all had a great time following Dave through the maize. Fortunately the apple does not fall far from the tree, and Dave has a built in compass.

Although Peter wanted me to erase this picture, I love it. Peter is calling to the goats to come see Willow. It did not work.

The Gil side of our Little Miss Gil-Forgosh is the one with talent. Check out Willow closely studying her pumpkin painting project.
